The role involves guiding publications, training programs, and technical assistance projects, with relocation support provided. The incumbent will manage teams, contribute to flagship publications, and advance ADB's development priorities.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics or related fields, with a background in empirical analysis and policy-focused research.
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience with demonstrated international experience.
• Evidence of high-quality research output and publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
• Technical knowledge, analytical, and conceptual skills in economics.
• Understanding of ADB context, strategies, priorities, and objectives.
• Written and verbal proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead or co-lead applied and policy-relevant research on development, macroeconomics, microeconomics, or international economics.
• Lead or co-lead the design and publication of research and publications, including flagship reports and policy briefs.
• Lead or co-lead teams preparing flagship publications and other projects.
• Lead or co-lead internal and external training programs for ADB staff and government officials.
• Manage the design and administration of technical assistance projects for DMCs on empirical policy analysis.
