Asian Development Bank (ADB) invites applications for a Senior Economist in the Economic Research and Development Impact (ERDI) department. Based at ADB Headquarters in Manila, relocation is required with reasonable expenses covered.

The role leads policy-relevant research and supports decision-making for Asia-Pacific development. Responsibilities include managing research outputs, publications, and training programs, plus overseeing technical assistance projects for DMCs.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in economics or related field with empirical analysis background.
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with impact evaluation and development projects; transport/energy expertise is a plus.
• Evidence of high-quality research and publications in journals.
• Strong quantitative, analytical and policy-analysis skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead or co-lead research on policy-relevant issues for Asia-Pacific development.
• Publish and share research; prepare analyses to support decision-making.
• Provide technical and analytical support to management and operations.
• Lead or co-lead design of internal and external publications and training programs.
• Manage and implement technical assistance projects for DMCs.
• Mentor staff and ensure quality of work.
