Job summary

OpsArmy Careers in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Accountant to support end-to-end accounting and the month-end close for a portfolio of clients. This fully remote role may require independent work or acting as Controller for an engagement, depending on structure.

You will manage AP/AR, payroll-related tasks where applicable, deliver client-ready financial statements, respond to questions, and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online, with a focus on ecommerce and consumer goods

Qualifications

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting.
• Experience with transactional accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of ecommerce/CPG accounting methods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep current records.
• Ability to manage deadlines and escalate issues proactively.

Responsibilities

• Support or own end-to-end month-end close for an assigned portfolio of clients.
• Own specific accounting tasks within the month-end close cycle.
• Prepare and support the delivery of client accounting deliverables.
• Respond to client questions and follow up on outstanding items as needed.
• Request, organize, and follow up on missing documentation from clients.
• Maintain clean, accurate, and up-to-date records in accounting applications.
• Identify and escalation open items, roadblocks, and issues to the Controller in advance of deadlines.
• Support internal process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and other accounting team efforts.
• Work closely with the Controller and other team members to ensure engagements are completed accurately and on schedule.
