Job summary

DSV Global Transport and Logistics is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to strengthen the Finance ERP - SAP Developments & Interface Team. You will translate business requirements into SAP solutions, develop interfaces, and support P2P, O2C, and R2R processes across a global SAP landscape.

The role demands 8+ years in ABAP, S/4HANA proficiency, and strong collaboration with IT and business stakeholders. Hybrid/onsite, with international interfaces and cloud-based components in use.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development across modules (SD, MM, FICO).
• Strong S/4HANA experience and end-to-end process knowledge (P2P, O2C, R2R).
• Ability to analyze requirements and resolve incidents with SLAs.
• Experience with interfaces: API, ALE/IDOCS, Web Services, Proxy.
• Knowledge of ABAP OO, Enhancements, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP, RAP model, and cloud-based environments.
• Strong written and spoken English; able to collaborate across geographies.

Department:

Reporting line:

Reports to: Manager, SAP Development & Interface - Finance ERP

Purpose of the job/ Responsibility:

For the strengthening of Finance ERP department, we would like to employ SAP ABAP Consultant with a strong background in SAP S/4HANA.

• The main objectives will be technical implementation & support in SAP projects, the solution design, maintenance and support of SAP solutions.
• The development tasks will consist of project work (complex changes, Implementations, etc.) and support tasks (incidents, service requests, requests for changes).

This position will be a part of Finance ERP - SAP Development & Interface department which comes under Finance IT.

Tasks:

• Translate Business/functional requirements into technical SAP solutions.
• Develop custom SAP objects: Programs/Reports, Function Group and Function Module, Classes, Interface, Dialog Programs (Module Pool), Enhancement, User Exit, Forms & Layout.
• Development of Interfaces to SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Develop and customize SAP applications using ABAP & Interface techniques.
• Perform unit testing of developed programs & solutions.
• Debug issues and fix defects.
• Resolve incidents and change requests.
• Optimize ABAP programs for better performance.
• Provide technical support during different phases of testing (ex: SIT, UAT).
• Prepare technical design documentation.
• Ensuring that developments comply with relevant standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Our SAP platform runs on an S4HANA platform - and we have a diverse setup with BTP and several cloud-based services in use. Our SAP landscape covers mainly SAP Finance functionality but extends also into BW and EPM. We use MDG functionality and have many interfaces to DSV TMS and Logistics systems.

Professional Qualifications:

To be successful in the above role, the incumbent should possess/ display the following key skills/ attributes:

• Total 8+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP (including ABAP on HANA) development experience across various modules (SD, MM, FICO with understanding of e-invoicing & DRC solutions).
• Strong work experience in S/4HANA environment.
• Able to support technically on end-to-end processes Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash and Record to Report in resolving incidents, development request, change request, support tickets & manage defined SLAs.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and technical issues.
• Strong working experience with interfaces using AIF (Application Interface Framework), APIs, ALE/IDOCS, Web Services & Proxy.
• Strong experience in Data Dictionary, Reports (Classical, ALV), Dialog Programming, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.
• Strong experience in ABAP Object oriented programming, Enhancements (BADI, user exits, BTEs), Code performance optimization.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills for custom and standard SAP programs.
• Experience in code review, version control, and following SAP development best practices.
• Experience in working cloud-based environment, SAP BTP technology, understanding of RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming) Model.
• Strong communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, other departments and IT teams to integrate SAP financial modules with other business systems e.g. TMS systems and reporting.
• Experience with working in a global organization with a large variety of business areas.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge on ITSM tools like (Service now).
