Job summary

Hollister Incorporated is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain BI solutions. You will gather stakeholder requirements, build data models, and create interactive dashboards with a focus on performance and security.

You will work closely with data engineers and business teams to transform data into insights, validate results, and document reporting solutions while staying current with Power BI features and best practices.

Qualifications

• In-depth Power BI expertise including report development, data modeling, DAX calculations, and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and query tuning.
• Experience with enterprise data structures, data governance and securing reports.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements for reporting and data visualization needs.
• Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to provide actionable insights.

• Strong proficiency in efficient data modeling, ensuring optimized performance and scalability using techniques like aggregations, indexing and partitioning
• Ability to use Power BI APIs for scheduled refreshes, subscriptions, and monitoring usage analytics
• Advanced data transformations using Power Query
• Real-time reporting using DirectQuery and Composite models
• Knowledge of AI & ML features in Power BI would be a bonus
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD for PowerBI - version control and deployment pipelines

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Microsoft Power BI
• A minimum or 4 years of experience business process analysis and design

• In-depth Power BI expertise, including report development, data modeling, DAX calculations, and performance optimization. (must have)
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including querying, data transformation, and performance tuning for Power BI datasets. (must have)
• Understanding of enterprise-wide data structures, integrations, and key business processes relevant to reporting needs.
• Experience working with various data sources such as SQL databases, Excel, APIs, and cloud-based data platforms. (good to have)
• Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into technical solutions using Power BI. (must have)
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices within Power BI and related tools. (must have)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques. (good to have)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess data quality, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights. (must have)
