Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Civil Designer / Modeler to join our ANZ-focused project delivery team. You will design roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, utilities, pavements, and water/sewer systems, and develop high-quality 3D models and drawings in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

You will use AutoCAD, 12d, Civil 3D to prepare drawings, mentor junior designers, liaise with ANZ clients, stay current with ANZ standards, and support tendering and technical proposals as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of design experience with roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, utility services designs, pavement design, and related civil infrastructure.
• Proven skills in design and documentation of civil infrastructure to ANZ standards or similar.
• Proficiency in industry design software, including 12d, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering design standards and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, teamwork, and self-motivation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a remote or multi-location team setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed civil design drawings, models, and documentation using AutoCAD, 12d, Civil 3D, and other relevant design tools.
• Develop and manage 3D models to support project execution.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, surveyors, and planners, to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Ensure designs meet client specifications, ANZ standards or similar, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical reporting.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks are achieved.
• Mentor junior designers and review their work for technical accuracy and compliance.
• Liaise with ANZ-based stakeholders and clients for project updates and reviews.
• Stay updated with ANZ design standards, codes, and best practices.
• Support tender preparation, cost estimation, and technical proposals when required.

What will you do?
