Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Road Designer to join our Infrastructure team in Australia. You will develop detailed road and civil design models using 12d or OpenRoads Designer, translate engineering input into 3D outputs and collaborate with engineers and drafters throughout the project lifecycle.

With 3+ years of industry experience in road design and expertise in 12d or OpenRoads, you will apply Austroads guidelines and contribute to projects from concept to construction across transport

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience as a Road designer using 12d or OpenRoads Road Design, Highway Design, Interchange Design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce detailed road and civil design models to produce drawings using geometric design packages such as OpenRoads Designer or 12d.
• Interpret design standards and translate engineering input into 3D models and provide outputs for plan production.
• Collaborate with engineers and drafters to ensure accuracy, constructability, and integration of design elements.
• Assist with digital design processes and participate in design reviews.
• Apply quality assurance and Aurecon design protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
• Apply Austroads guidelines and TfNSW Supplements to Austroads to produce accurate road designs from concept through construction stages.

What will you do?

In this position you will join our Infrastructure business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of infrastructure projects - from rural access roads to complex freeways, toll roads, system interchanges and water security. You’ll be part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team working on some of Australia’s most significant transport infrastructure projects, reimagining how roads can shape a more sustainable and connected world.
