Job summary

Zohorecruit in the Philippines is seeking a Database Engineer to manage day-to-day database operations, capacity planning, and performance optimization for MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2, and MongoDB.

You will be an escalation point for critical gaming systems, ensuring SLA adherence and robust reliability across cloud databases (GCP/AWS/Azure) and on‑premises. The role involves DR/backups and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in 24/7 server/database environments.

Responsibilities

• Setups, maintenance, and monitoring of high availability of database servers.
• Work with production support to set up testing environments, review test plans and test cases, and investigate technical issues.
• Provide capacity planning of database server hardware resources.
• Ensure all server issues are addressed within a service level agreement (SLA).
• Suggest and implement process and systems improvement.
• Work closely with the network team on company security policy.
• Create and monitor backup strategy.
• Daily monitors system logs and provides root cause analysis of errors.
