Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a Data Science Consultant to provide technical leadership and strategic expertise in ML/AI, guiding the design, development and implementation of advanced ML/AI solutions for our clients.

Qualifications

Minimum 12 years leadership experience in data analytics, ML and AI.
Proven track record designing and implementing ML/AI solutions.
Deep understanding of ML including deep learning, statistics, CNN/RNN, transformers, LLMs (RAG), privacy-preserving ML and security fundamentals.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in Python and ML libraries/frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
SQL and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP familiarity.
Experience engaging senior stakeholders to secure funding for ML/AI projects.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and strategic direction in ML/AI for client engagements.
Plan, design and deliver responsible AI systems and measurement strategies aligned with client objectives.
Connect across organizational verticals to drive AI adoption and envision new products and differentiators.
Engage with clients to understand business challenges and communicate ML/AI solutions.
Collaborate with data scientists and engineers, mentoring teams as a peer and leader.
Monitor ML/AI advancements and consider regulatory impacts in solutions.
Shape ML solutions, scope and price engagements, and lead transitions from sales to delivery.
Foster strong client relationships through effective project delivery and issue resolution.
Engage executives to drive enterprise-wide AI adoption and support sales/pre-sales activities.
