Job summary

Lancesoft Philippines is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer in Manila to lead data engineering initiatives, architect robust data solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise. You will design and implement data pipelines, microservices, and BI models using Azure, Databricks, PySpark, and PostgreSQL in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
• At least five years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering, including architecture, design and development of integrated systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Developing microservices for data integration using TypeScript or Python.
• Data pipelines and modern data warehouse solutions using Databricks, Python, and PySpark.
• Relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Ingesting data from SharePoint Online, Excel, and other sources.
• Knowledge of Power BI semantic models, DAX, and REST API integration is an advantage.
• Familiarity with SDLC, project management methodologies, and Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Certifications in Secure Coding, Scrum, DevOps, Azure, or Databricks are an advantage.
• Experience working in collaborative teams of five or more.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Product Delivery Manager and coordinate with business stakeholders, data analysts, analytics engineers, and other teams.
• Develop high-level and detailed technical designs for data platforms and pipelines.
• Collaborate on architecture, design, and implementation of integrated systems across the data platform.

Work Schedule is from 8:00AM - 5:00PM Manila Time.

Educational Requirements:

Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or other related fields.

Relevant Experience and Other Requirements:

At least five years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering, including the architecture, design, and development of integrated systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.

Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

Proven experience developing microservices for data integration using TypeScript or Python.

Hands-on experience developing data pipelines and modern data warehouse solutions using Databricks, Python, and PySpark.

Practical experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

Experience ingesting data from SharePoint Online, Excel files, and other enterprise data sources.

Knowledge of Power BI semantic models, DAX, and REST API integration is an advantage.

Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), project management methodologies, and Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.

Relevant certifications in Secure Coding, Scrum, DevOps, Azure, or Databricks are an advantage.

Experience working in collaborative teams of five or more members.

Ability to engage effectively with senior executives and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Reporting and Coordination

The Senior Data Platform Engineer will report to the Product Delivery Manager and/or designated staff. The Data Platform Engineer will work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, analytics engineers, and other teams within the organization.
