Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and scale our enterprise data platform. This 12-month independent contractor role focuses on data pipelines, data lake/warehouse architectures, and cloud optimization using Databricks and Azure.

You will lead in designing data workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and translating business needs into scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering.
• 5+ years experience in system architecture and integrated solutions design.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript.
• Experience with Databricks, PySpark or modern data warehousing solutions.
• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Power BI semantic models, DAX, and REST API integration is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data lake/warehouse architectures.

Salary: Up to Php 170,000 per month!
