Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to strengthen data integrity across a global financial institution. The role focuses on data lineage, metadata quality, and authoritative data sources with governance controls embedded in changes and policy considerations.

You will collaborate with business and IT teammates to ensure regulatory readiness, provide governance reporting, and contribute to enterprise data strategy globally.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in data governance or related field.
• Hands-on knowledge of metadata management, data dictionaries and data catalog concepts.
• Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Document, maintain and enhance end-to-end data lineage across critical systems and reporting assets.
• Partner with business, technology and data owners to remediate gaps in lineage and metadata quality.
• Manage authoritative data source inventories and onboarding of new records.
• Execute metadata quality reviews and establish governance controls.
• Monitor governance metrics to track adoption and maturity across the organization.
• Lead system change processes from requirements definition through implementation.
• Support governance forums and remediation activities and policy recommendations.
• Coach colleagues on governance processes and data controls.
