Job summary

ING is seeking a Senior Business Analyst within the ESG Tribe to transform complex data into trusted insights that support reporting, risk management, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making across the bank.

You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and cross-functional partners to define requirements, improve data quality, enable regulatory reporting, and drive data management excellence at ING.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within banking or financial services.
• Strong data management, data quality, and data modeling expertise.
• Hands-on SQL and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with large datasets and data onboarding processes.
• Knowledge of Finance, Credit Risk, Market Risk, or Regulatory Reporting.
• Experience with Agile delivery, testing, UAT, and change implementation.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels.
• A proactive mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead data management and data quality initiatives across multiple domains.
• Work with stakeholders to gather, refine, and prioritize business and data requirements.
• Develop and maintain business terms, data models, mappings, and related documentation.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, testing, and UAT activities.
• Coordinate across countries, domains, and squads to deliver data solutions and services.
• Support ESG, Risk, Finance, and regulatory reporting initiatives, including BCBS 239-related activities.
• Monitor delivery progress and proactively manage dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of standards, governance, and ways of working.
