Job summary

HostPapa is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and evolve CloudBlue’s data and analytics platform with a focus on AI-driven capabilities. You will create scalable data infrastructure and embed AI into backend services, APIs, and business workflows across our SaaS platform.

You will work with real-time data fabrics, collaborate in small cross-functional teams, and contribute to data quality, reliability, and performance in production environments.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience building data-intensive systems.
• Experience building data pipelines and data models at production scale.
• Hands-on Python experience.
• Experience with event-streaming technologies and real-time platforms.
• Cloud-native infrastructure and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of data contracts, data quality, and production SLOs.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• Excellent English collaboration in distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a high-volume, high-performance data fabric, including real-time ingestion, data pipelines, storage, and analytics.
• Own features end to end from design to production.
• Drive adoption of AI across the platform and develop AI-powered workflows.
• Design and integrate APIs connecting data, services, and business workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers in cross-functional teams and with Product Managers.
• Ensure data quality, observability, and performance across pipelines.
