Job summary

Penbrothers International is seeking a Data Engineer to design and scale configurable, multi-tenant ETL frameworks for a cloud-based analytics platform. You will architect data pipelines with Python, SQL, and modern tooling, ensuring high performance and reliability for educational clients and non-profits.

You’ll work 100% remotely with night shift aligned to US Eastern Time, collaborating with a global team to deliver robust data solutions and maintainable codebases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering with Python and SQL as primary tools.
• Strong OO background with design patterns in data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Polars & Pandas for large data frames.

Responsibilities

• Architect modular data pipelines using Python and SOLID principles.
• Leverage Polars and Pandas for high-performance data transformations.
• Manage BigQuery infrastructure, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Develop configurable YAML/JSON pipelines for multi-tenant onboarding.
• Ensure software quality with pytest, logging, and robust error handling.
