Job summary

Cloud Raptor in Manila is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain a modern data platform for healthcare clients. This hands-on role includes leading two junior data engineers, owning technical deliverables, and collaborating with business and analytics stakeholders to ensure production‑grade solutions.

You will leverage Azure Databricks, PySpark, Python, SQL, and Delta Lake to implement Medallion architecture, validate data, and optimize Spark workloads, while guiding CI/CD

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional data engineering experience with hands-on Azure Databricks, PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Strong experience with Spark, Delta Lake, ADF, ADLS Gen2, and Unity Catalog.
• Experience leading or mentoring data engineers and providing production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Python, SQL, Delta Lake, ADF, and ADLS Gen2.
• Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) including SCDs and robust data validation.
• Perform unit testing, data validation, and reconciliation of pipelines.
• Ensure data quality through validation, logging, monitoring, and automated checks.
• Optimize Spark workloads for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement data governance, security, and access control using Unity Catalog.
• Manage Databricks Workflows, support production deployments and CI/CD via Azure DevOps.
• Lead, mentor, and conduct code reviews for two junior data engineers; plan tasks and uphold standards.
• Take ownership of delivery quality and liaise with stakeholders to align technical work with business objectives.
