Job summary

Kroll in Manila is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines from diverse sources, enabling analytics, reporting, and AI workloads. You will work with Azure and Databricks, Python, and SQL to deliver scalable data infrastructure and robust ETL/ELT processes across teams.

As a mentor to junior engineers, you will collaborate with international colleagues, drive data quality, and continuously improve engineering practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in data engineering delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
• Experience writing ETL/ELT jobs.
• Experience with Azure and Databricks Platform.
• Proficient in Python and SQL and REST APIs.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with an international team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data infrastructure with Medallion architecture in a Lakehouse environment.
• Develop robust ETL/ELT applications for data ingestion, transformation and distribution for analytics and AI workloads.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and data models.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices to improve engineering processes.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging data engineering technologies and trends.
