Job summary

Qodea in the Philippines is seeking a data engineer with strong GCP expertise to design and maintain data pipelines and analytics solutions for MSP customers. You will work with delivery teams, Google, and customer engineers to standardize technology stacks and implement managed service processes aligned with client needs.

You will mentor teammates, handle escalations, and collaborate on quarterly reviews to ensure requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Experience developing data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform and other cloud providers.
• Strong Python development with data engineering focus and library usage (Pandas, NumPy).
• Proficient SQL, BigQuery, and data warehousing concepts for large datasets.
• Familiarity with Airflow or similar orchestration tools and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience creating and maintaining data models, dashboards, and BI integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own creation and maintenance of knowledge materials for MSP delivery on GCP.
• Act as trusted advisor, translating customer challenges into effective GCP-based solutions.
• Collaborate with delivery teams, Google, and customer engineers to standardize tech stacks.
• Document managed service processes aligned with project tech stacks and requirements.
• Upskill and mentor colleagues to ensure smooth delivery across teams.
• Represent Qodea in relations with Google or customers and support visits.
• Handle escalations and patches related to customer data platforms.
• Investigate issues, maintain data models, and support analytics/reporting.
• Monitor data infrastructure for availability, correctness, and performance.
• Ensure data pipelines and ML models operate correctly; coordinate quarterly reviews with customers.
• Plan implementation of customer changes/requirements and maintain ETL pipelines.
