Job summary

TELUS Digital is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with an SRE background to manage and optimize cloud data pipelines. The role involves maintaining pipeline reliability, troubleshooting complex issues, and automating data processing tasks.

Hybrid work setup is available with occasional onsite needs and night shifts as required. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in data engineering, strong Python and SQL skills, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms and ETL tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering support and enhancement.
• Proficient in cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS).
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data processing and automation.
• Experience with Informatica ETL, MDM, and Looker/Tableau/Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Continuously optimize data pipeline efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Monitor and alert for data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex data pipeline issues.
• Automate repetitive data processing tasks and maintain documentation.
