Job summary

NCS Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-native data environments. You will drive migration from legacy platforms and ensure reliable data operations to support ongoing and new business initiatives.

Lead ETL/ELT development, collaborate with analytics and product teams, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining governance and security standards.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of total Data Engineering experience with large-scale data pipelines and cloud platforms.
• Experience designing, building, and optimizing scalable data solutions in modern data environments.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with hands-on data transformation and pipeline development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize automated data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models for cloud platforms.
• Support large-scale data migration initiatives with data accuracy and performance in mind.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows ingesting data from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and data science teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Design data marts and tailored data extractions to meet reporting needs.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot incidents, and implement preventive measures.
• Document workflows, schemas, and runbooks for stability and transfer of knowledge.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and best-practices sharing.
