Job summary

NCS Philippines is seeking an experienced IT professional to lead and deliver automated ETL data pipelines within a Data Lake environment. The role requires strong Java development, ETL design, and DevOps practices to ensure timely deployments and production stability.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of Java experience, plus 8 years in ETL, with Big Data platform exposure and solid SQL/PLSQL skills. Strong communication and documentation abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in IT/CS/Engineering
• 5–8 years of Java experience
• 5 years of DevOps experience (Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Jira)
• 8 years of ETL development experience
• Experience with Big Data platforms and enterprise data stores
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies (waterfall, iterative, agile)
• Strong SQL & PL/SQL skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to meet tight SLAs in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Provides assessment and estimation of effort needed based on the provided Business request form.
• Develops and delivers automated data pipelines (ETL) jobs in the Data Lake within expected timelines.
• Coordinates with various support groups to accomplish assigned automated data pipes for development.
• Prepares deployment package for endorsement to Release Testing Team including Solutions Design Document and Operations Guide.
• Provides support during the stabilization phase of pipes endorsed to production until declared BAU and approves builds.
• Documents source code.
• Other job-related activities that may be assigned from time to time.
