Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build mission-critical data services that analyze blockchain activity at petabyte scale. You’ll collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to craft scalable data models and ensure sub-second query latency.

You should have 5+ years building distributed systems, strong Python and SQL/SparkSQL skills, and hands-on experience with BigQuery, Postgres, Airflow, and DBT.

Qualifications

• 5+ years architecting scalable API development and distributed systems.
• Strong Python coding skills and proficiency in SQL/SparkSQL.
• Experience with data stores and pipelines across cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and build mission-critical data services handling petabyte-scale blockchain analytics.
• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to model data and optimize queries.
• Lead data pipelines and ML/BI workflows from concept to production.
• Explain technical decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices for scalable, observable systems.
