Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation in Quezon City is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines moving data from sources to data lake/warehouse. You will collaborate with analytics teams to ensure data quality and scalable infrastructure.

The role requires 3–7 years of experience, a degree in CS/IT or related field, and hands-on Azure, Databricks, PySpark, SQL and BI tools like Power BI, Tableau or Qlik.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College degree in CS/IT/Math or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and Databricks, Data Lake Store and Data Warehouse.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and data visualization using Power BI, Tableau or Qlik.
• Experience with Python or PySpark.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and manage data pipelines and orchestrate data integration that meets business requirements.
• Identify, design and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
• Ensure the data is complete, has been cleansed, and that the rules have been established for outliers (eliminate, ignore, average out and so on).
• Identifying patterns, trends and correlations in data sets.
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with data analyst and architect on several projects.
• Transforming data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visuals.
