Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Analyst to drive trusted reporting, analytics and data solutions across the organization. You will work with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data products and contribute to governance and data quality initiatives.

With 5+ years in analytics and BI, you will leverage Power BI, SQL, Excel, and Power Query, while collaborating across Finance and enterprise platforms like Azure, Workday, and Salesforce to enable informed decision making.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or data management roles.
• Experience in Agile or squad-based environments, partnering with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting and analytics solutions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, business analysis, problem-solving, and data visualization skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Statistics, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field. CA/CPA qualification and/or further education in Analytics, Data Science, or Business Intelligence is advantageous.
• Experience delivering reporting, analytics, and visualization solutions using Power BI or similar platforms, with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Power Query.
• Understanding of data modelling, KPI frameworks, reporting structures, data governance, data quality, and reporting best practices.
• Experience testing, validating, and reconciling reporting and analytics solutions, and supporting users with reporting, data interpretation, and source system queries.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure and enterprise platforms such as Workday, Adaptive Planning, Salesforce, or similar systems.
• Experience supporting Finance reporting and analytics within a complex corporate, professional services, or consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
• Support the design, development and enhancement of reporting and visualization solutions to provide trusted insights and improve business performance.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of trusted data assets, reporting standards, governance and data quality.
• Assist with validation, testing and reconciliation of reporting and analytics solutions to ensure data integrity.
• Provide guidance to business users on reporting, data sources, system-generated information and data quality issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge assets and standards for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders and analytics teams to support delivery, adoption and optimization of data and reporting solutions.
