Job summary

Elsevier's Global Business Intelligence team seeks a Senior Data Analyst to translate data into actionable insights for sales leadership and senior management. You will develop dashboards and visualizations, maintain the Nexus data warehouse, and contribute to Snowflake migrations while leveraging AI tools to accelerate analysis.

Qualifications

5+ years in a BI or data analyst role.
Strong SQL skills and experience with a data warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
Experience building reports/dashboards in Tableau or Power BI.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Hands-on experience with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex) or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders to understand processes and challenges; propose data-driven insights.
Design and build dashboards and visualizations in Excel, Salesforce, and Tableau to deliver actionable insights.
Design, build, and maintain Nexus data warehouse, including SQL and transformation logic; migrate to Snowflake.
Lead on high-visibility requests; scope, validate data usefulness, and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Set standards for data modeling, code review, and consistency across dashboards; review others' work.
