Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a senior Quality Leader for railway products to drive customer-centric quality improvements across internal and customer sites. You will lead resolution of claims, coordinate QRQC activities, and ensure robust RCA processes in collaboration with Operations and Engineering.

You will also mentor teams, manage change controls, and maintain reliability metrics while engaging with field teams and external customers to sustain high quality performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Basic Awareness training on Quality Management Systems, QRQC, PFMEA, control plan, ECR management.
• Training on handling customer portals and internal portals (like WIM data base, Quality Data base etc…)

Responsibilities

• Own customer quality (internal and at customer sites) related to IR.
• Resolve customer claims with strong REX management and PFMEA.
• Represent customer within Wabtec on Quality matters (communication/Escalation).
• Coordinate plant QRQC to resolve customer complaints.
• Investigate field returned parts & initiate robust RCA.
• Visit customer sites to gather feedback and perform issue analysis with sign-off.
• Plan proactive customer visits and engage field teams.
• Perform monthly audits for actions (8D) to prevent recurrence.
• Visit production units and railway sheds to present quality countermeasures.
• Ensure major design changes are implemented at field in real time.
• Enforce change control for process/design modifications.
• Generate and maintain product reliability data for IR products.
• Maintain customer quality metrics (Zero KM, Warranty, PPM & COPQ).
• Release timely RCA in coordination with Operations & Engineering.
• Seek positive feedback in annual Customer Survey in Quality domain.
• Support cost reduction initiatives.
