Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer/Test Engineer II to verify and validate the Train Performance LOCOTROL Technologies.

You will design test strategies, develop test cases, execute tests, and contribute to test automation while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role emphasizes delivering robust validation across hardware and software interfaces and driving quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in Software Verification & Validation.
• Experience in Railway, Locomotive, Aerospace, Automotive, or safety-critical domains.
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with requirements-based testing and defect management.

Responsibilities

• Define verification scope with Systems and Software Engineers.
• Analyze system requirements and develop test cases and procedures.
• Ensure traceability and identify gaps in test coverage.
• Develop test plans, strategies, and reports.
• Design and execute functional, integration, system, and regression tests.
• Identify hardware needs and set up lab test environments.
• Log and track defects; verify fixes and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python, LabVIEW, TestStand.
• Mentor junior engineers and support test infrastructure improvements.
