Job summary

IIX Global in Manila invites an experienced AVP, Credit Portfolio Management to lead credit analysis, underwriting, and risk oversight for the Women’s Livelihood Bond lending portfolios. You will monitor performance, assess new borrowers, and drive risk management in collaboration with the Innovative Finance team.

The role requires strong corporate credit judgment, financial modelling in Excel, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to investors and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in corporate credit assessment within a lending institution.
• Experience in emerging markets (Asia / Africa) is a plus.
• International development and/or impact enterprise or MFI experience.
• Fluency or proficiency in one or more regional languages.
• Start Date: Immediate.
• Location: Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Assess financial statements, cash flows, debt servicing capacity and risk factors for corporate borrowers.
• Understand loan structuring, financial covenants and conditions, and repayment risk.
• Assess economic and industry trends impacting borrower risk.
• Track borrower performance, covenant and conditions compliance, and early warning indicators.
• Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Proficiency in Excel for financial analysis (Index-Match, VLOOKUP, pivots).
• Prepare credit appraisal reports and memos, credit assessments, financial reports, portfolio, borrower, and country updates.
• Present credit risk findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Identify data inconsistencies and verification issues.
• Engage with borrowers and manage stakeholder relationships.
