Job summary

Merck Kgaa is seeking a Controlling Analyst in the Philippines to prepare financial reports, run variance analyses, and deliver KPI insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, identify risks and opportunities, and support strategic decisions.

The role requires 5+ years in FP&A, strong financial modeling and Excel skills, and experience with IFRS/US-Canada surveys. Leadership responsibilities include mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Strong modeling, forecasting, and data analysis capabilities.
• Experience consolidating financial statements and IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient with financial software and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, and performance metrics.
• Provide financial insights and KPI trend analysis to support decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and identify risks/opportunities.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and modeling for strategic initiatives.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing ensuring IFRS compliance.
• Mentor junior finance team members.
• Prepare and consolidate IFRS financial statements for US/Canada surveys.
• Identify process improvements to streamline reporting and analysis.
