Job summary

Merck KGaA in the Philippines seeks a Management Accounting Expert to support cost accounting, profitability analysis, and reporting across entities. You’ll manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close, and mentor junior staff.

You will drive process improvements, ensure internal controls, and collaborate with ABP, GL, and Controlling teams. The role requires SAP CO-OM/CO-PA experience, English fluency, and readiness to base in Taguig.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting/finance with full-cycle cost accounting and profitability analysis.
• Experience with SAP CO-OM and CO-PA.
• Willing to be based in BGC, Taguig.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Experience within a Shared Services Center preferred.
• Automation experience (VBA, other automation tools).

Responsibilities

• Cost Accounting, Profitability Analysis & Reporting Excellence across monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Prepare and explain cost-center reports and profitability analyses for internal customers.
• Ensure reconciliations and schedules are complete and ready for review.
• Perform cost accounting processes including allocations, assessments, distributions.
• Support standardization, automation, and workflow improvements.
• Act as liaison with auditors and ensure internal controls compliance.
