Job summary

GoDaddy Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Security Engineer to design, build, and secure large-scale cloud environments across multiple teams.

You will embed security-by-design in services and internal platforms, partnering with engineering leaders to translate security requirements into scalable solutions. The role requires hands-on Cloud Security expertise, strong threat modeling skills, and experience guiding architecture decisions in hyperscale environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Deep hands-on experience securing AWS environments, including IAM, VPC, EC2, EKS, S3, Lambda, and CloudTrail.
• Proficiency with threat modeling methodologies (e.g., STRIDE), security architecture design, and risk‑based decision making.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain secure, scalable cloud architectures aligned with AWS security standards, including defining guardrails for multi-account and multi-region setups.
• Establish and manage security controls across compute, storage, networking, and identity layers, leveraging infrastructure‑as‑code, policy‑as‑code, and continuous compliance automation
• Perform threat modeling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments for new and existing cloud services—leveraging CCIE/JNCIE-level security insights—to ensure proactive identification and mitigation of infrastructure vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with platform teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows, while leading incident response and post‑incident reviews to drive root cause analysis and long‑term remediation
• Contribute to security strategy, standards, and reference architectures; mentor junior engineers; and engage with audit, compliance, and risk teams to meet regulatory requirements and foster a strong security culture
