Cambridge University Press & Assessment in Makati City, Metro Manila, seeks a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure projects, automation, and IaC initiatives, aligning cloud services with business needs. The role operates in a hybrid setup with office presence two days a week and overlaps UK hours.

You will design scalable, secure infrastructure using AWS, Cloudflare, and Azure, and implement Terraform, PowerShell, Python, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and architecting solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS, Cloudflare) with Azure knowledge desirable.
• Strong scripting, IaC, and automation capabilities.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure security, disaster recovery, and scalability planning.

Work setup: We operate in a hybrid work environment, and we encourage applicants who are open to working in the office two days a week to apply.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 2PM to 10PM Manila time, overlaps with UK operating hours

Employment type: Permanent

Location: Makati City, Metro Manila

Pay range: Php 130,000 to Php 142,000

We are currently seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to play a significant role in the successful implementation of Cloud infrastructure environment and its associated services. Your responsibilities will include spearheading automation and infrastructure-as-code projects to facilitate ongoing enhancements and engineering excellence throughout our cloud offerings and infrastructure. What will you do as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Reporting to the Infrastructure Hosting Engineering Team Lead, your accountabilities will include:

• Act as technical lead on projects and platforms from gathering requirements, evaluating options, documentation, through to creating and implementing infrastructure solutions such as servers, storage, networks, and virtualization technologies to meet business needs.
• Ensure security measures/policies, resilient solutions for business continuity, and future-proofing (resource requirements, scalability, and growth planning) are taken into account during the design and implementation process.
• Create scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and ensure consistency in managing infrastructure.
• Actively identify opportunities for technology solutions and show accountability in creating process improvement initiatives.

An ideal candidate has the following qualities:

Essential:

• Expertise in designing and architecting solutions using public cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Cloudflare. Working knowledge of Azure is desirable.
• Proven experience with infrastructure technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, networking, storage, and cloud migration initiatives.
• Strong scripting, infrastructure-as-code, and automation capabilities with Terraform, PowerShell, Python, GitHub Actions, n8n, and Power Automate.
• Strong knowledge of AI and agentic technologies, including Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge-based chatbots, and vector databases.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, including facilitation of solution workshops, coaching, and knowledge transfer activities.
