Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a Senior AI Software Developer to join its Technology – AI Centre of Excellence in Manila. This role designs, builds and scales responsible AI and Generative AI solutions that deliver measurable business value, while shaping engineering best practices across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in designing, building and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python and ML libraries, with experience in SDKs and API integrations.
• Experience implementing Generative AI solutions, including RAG, embeddings and vector search.
• Ability to design secure, scalable AI services and integrate them with enterprise data sources.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, architecture reviews and mentoring across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of AI-driven solutions using large language models and other Generative AI technologies.
• Own end‑to‑end technical design of AI pipelines: data prep, model selection, deployment and monitoring.
• Design AI patterns including prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings and vector search.
• Establish secure, scalable AI engineering standards, including API integration, CI/CD and docs.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Employment type:Permanent

What will you do as a Senior AI Software Developer?

Reporting to the Head of AI Development, AI CoE, your accountabilities will include:

• Lead the design and delivery of AI-driven solutions using large language models, multimodal models and other Generative AI technologies to solve real-world business challenges.

• Own the end-to-end technical design of AI pipelines, including data preparation, model selection, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Design and implement advanced AI solution patterns including prompt engineering, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), embeddings and vector search.
• Establish and maintain secure, scalable and reliable AI engineering standards, including API integration, automated testing, CI/CD and operational documentation.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, mentoring and collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders to integrate AI into products and services
