Job summary

AFRY Manila seeks a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead design and layout of solar and wind projects, coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and environmental teams, and support feasibility studies.

The role requires licensed Civil Engineer, 6+ years in civil design, proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PVcase, STAAD, and SAP2000, with hands-on project delivery in power facilities. You will perform site surveys, develop 3D PV layouts, prepare cost assessments, and review EPC designs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Civil Engineer is required.
• Senior: 6+ years of civil design experience.
• Civil Engineer: 3+ years of civil design experience.
• Hands-on design, construction and implementation of power-related projects (solar/wind).
• Proficiency in standards and codes; familiarity with NSCP, DPWH DGCS, ACI, ASCE, AISC is preferred.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills; ability to work independently and in teams.

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team in Manila, Philippines.

Job Description

• Perform Design and Layout of Solar Power Projects and Wind Power Projects under Preliminary, Mid-Development and Detailed Design Stages.
• Conduct on-site field survey of potential areas for Solar and Wind Power Project Development.
• Participate in Conceptual Design, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), Pre-/Feasibility Studies, Technical Due Diligence and Site suitability assessments of Solar and Wind Power Projects.
• Execute detailed civil design works for Solar and Wind farm: Roads, drainages, site grading, slope analysis, erosion control, etc.
• Develop and produce PV Layout 3D scenes for PVsyst analysis.
• Process and validate raw topographic survey data for analysis and design.
• Prepare high-level cost assessment of civil works associated for Solar and Wind Power Projects.
• Review engineering plans and design calculations submitted by EPC contractor for ongoing construction projects.
• Prepare, review, and update technical specifications for studies such as bathymetry, geotechnical investigations, topographic surveys, and hydrology assessments.
• Perform detailed design and preparation of foundation calculations and drawings for various components of Solar / Wind Power plants.
• Review and perform analysis of soil test data and formulate foundation criteria.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, environmental) to ensure integrated and optimized project design.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be licensed Civil Engineer.
• For Senior Civil Engineer position at least 6 years working experience in Civil design.
• For Civil Engineer position at least 3 years working experience in Civil design.
• Hands-on experience in design, construction and implementation of industrial projects particularly power plants like solar or wind farm.
• In-depth understanding of relevant engineering codes such as NSCP, DPWH DGCS, ACI, ASCE, AISC and related international standards.
• Extensive experience and strong expertise in road design, site grading, earthworks, and drainage design principles.
• Experience in Concrete or Structural Steel design is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PVcase, STAAD, SAP2000, or equivalent structural and civil design software is required.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills with the ability to critically evaluate technical documents and prepare clear, concise technical write-ups and reports.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Applicants should be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status.
