Job summary

Scatec Philippines seeks a Senior Civil Project Engineer to lead geotechnical, hydrological, civil, and structural tasks for PV, BESS, and wind projects in various development and execution stages. You will coordinate designs, manage quantities, and assess country-specific civil risks while supporting engineering managers and junior engineers.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering and professional registration if relevant locally.
• Extensive experience with project-specific and pragmatic design implementation during construction.
• Experience with PV plants, BESS installations and/or wind farms.
• Design management of complex civil infrastructure (foundations, drainage, roads and buildings).
• Understanding of Resident Engineer management of complex infrastructure projects.
• Sound knowledge of CAD and GIS software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the geological, topographical, and hydrological due diligence tasks.
• Lead review of hydrological, geotechnical, structural and roads risks at development phase.
• Manage the calculation of civil quantities for the bill of quantities.
• Identify country specific Civil risks and constraints.
• Support technical due diligence of wind turbine generators and substructure suppliers.
• Conduct due diligence investigations on civil related packages to ensure risks and opportunities are identified to be implemented in the detail design.
• Support Supply Chain Management on compilation and evaluation of RFP documents (technical specifications and bill of quantities), then lead engagement with suppliers to clarity the responses.
• Ensure that all civil design information identified throughout the structuring phase is implemented in the detail designs.

The Senior Civil Project Engineer will manage, coordinate and evaluate all tasks and designs related to geotechnical, hydrological, civil, structural aspects of PV, BESS and wind projects in various stages of development, execution, and operations to various business units within the organization. Support to engineering manager and managing junior to medium level engineers and draftsmen.

What you’ll bring

• A degree in Civil Engineering. Professional Engineering Registration (or similar Chartered Engineer registration) if relevant in country
• Extensive experience with project specific and pragmatic design implementation during construction phase
• Experience with all relevant design and construction considerations for a PV plant, BESS installation and/or wind farm
• Design management of complex Civil infrastructure (foundations, drainage, roads and buildings)
• Understanding of Resident Engineer management of complex Infrastructure projects
• Sound knowledge of CAD knowledge and GIS software
