Job summary

8x8 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help expand our global messaging platform. You will design and develop high-throughput RESTful APIs and backend microservices, optimize performance, and ensure quality with tests.

You will collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in software development, expert C#/.NET Core, and hands-on cloud experience across AWS/GCP/Azure.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert knowledge of .NET Core and C#.
• Strong understanding of RESTful web services and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in multi-threaded application development and async programming.
• Experience with queue engines like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Working experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with software engineering best practices (unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD).
• Hands-on experience utilizing cloud platforms to develop scalable and reliable applications.
• A team player who thrives in cross-functional environments, collaborating closely with product team, and stakeholders.
• Strong communicator who proactively drives alignment between engineering and business teams.
