Job summary

8x8 Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our global messaging platform team. You will design and develop high-performance backend services, RESTful APIs and scalable microservices to support distributed systems.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure quality, reliability and timely delivery, while leveraging cloud services and modern CI/CD practices. Join us in shaping the future of communications.

Qualifications

6+ years of professional software development experience.
Expert knowledge of .NET Core and C#.
Strong understanding of RESTful web services and microservices architecture.
Proficiency in multi-threaded application development and async programming.
Experience with queue engines like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
Working experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience with CI/CD, testing and software engineering best practices.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms for scalable applications; Kubernetes/ Istio is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and develop new RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
Optimize platform performance and ensure high quality with unit tests and integration tests.
Collaborate with product team to gather requirements and align engineering efforts.
