Job summary

Schneider Electric Philippines is seeking a procurement specialist to ensure timely and cost-efficient purchasing that supports DRP results, scheduling, inventory management, and data upkeep for production and sales requirements.

You will release POs to approved suppliers, manage supplier performance, and negotiate costs and lead times while coordinating with SQE, Warehouse, Finance, and cross-functional teams. The role requires readiness to work in Rosario Cavite 4x a week.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business-related course.
• 5 years purchasing/ Material Planning experience in Electronics / Light Engineering Industry.
• Preferably with experience in ISO-certified manufacturing company/Supply Chain.
• ERP/MRP systems experience (Oracle 11i, BAAN or SAP).
• Highly proficient in MS Excel or MS Office applications.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• 70% - Timely creation & release of Purchase Orders to approved suppliers per DRP results for procurement of assigned parts, raw materials & equipment.
• 10% - Proper PO management and follow-up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery while maintaining optimal inventory.
• 5% - Negotiate better cost & delivery lead time with suppliers for continuous improvement.
• 5% - Coordinate with SQE, Warehouse & Finance to resolve supplier quality, stock discrepancies & payment issues.
• 10% - Communicate with Planning, Logistics, Warehouse, NPD & Production teams regarding materials status for emergencies with suppliers.

Job description

Responsible for timely & right parts procurement thru approved suppliers at lowest cost per Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) results, scheduling, re-scheduling, Inventory management, HUB stocks management & maintenance of system data attributes to support production & sales requirement on regular basis.

• 70% - Timely creation & release of Purchase Order's (PO) to approved suppliers per DRP results/analysis for procurement of assigned parts, raw materials & equipment
• 10% - Proper PO management per guidelines & regular follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining optimum inventory level per set Targets
• 5% - Negotiate better cost & delivery lead time with suppliers for continuous improvement
• 5% - Coordinate with Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), Warehouse (W/H) & Finance teams to resolve supplier quality, stocks discrepancy & payment related issues promptly
• 10% - Regular Communication & Coordination with various functions like Planning, Logistics, Warehouse, New Product Development (NPD) & Production teams regarding materials status to prepare for unexpected emergencies with suppliers

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business-related course.
• 5 years purchasing/ Material Planning experience in Electronics / Light Engineering Industry.
• Preferably with experience in working in an ISO-certified manufacturing company/Supply Chain.
• A deep understanding of the core purchasing process is a must
• Experienced in using ERP/MRP systems like Oracle 11i, BAAN or SAP will be an advantage also.
• Highly Proficient in MS Excel or any MS Office applications.
• Be conversant with the market trends for the respective commodities
• Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-developed analytical skills, articulate, innovative and confident
• Flexible, able to work on own initiative, deal with more than one project at a time, can work under pressure and tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Very good communication & negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
• Has excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Displays professionalism towards work and colleagues
