Job summary

TYLin Philippines is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join its Bridge Sector team in Manila. You will lead design projects for transportation structures, mentor junior staff, and manage client relationships with a focus on quality, schedule, and budget.

The role involves traditional design responsibilities, strong client engagement, and leading proposals and pursuits in the Philippines, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering required; Masters preferred.
• Must be a registered professional engineer in the Philippines or a member of International Engineering Charters or Organizations.
• 10+ years’ experience in the design of steel and concrete bridges.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers is required.
• Familiarity with seismic provisions and steel connection design provisions of Philippine and AISC codes.
• Strong project management and client relationship management skills, with a solid understanding of engineering principles and codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Micro Station; BIM software (Revit) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply strong technical expertise in preliminary and detailed bridge design including culverts and retaining walls.
• Provide technical support during construction phases including site inspections and contract administration.
• Prepare engineering drawings and documentation ensuring compliance with AASHTO, DPWH DGCS, and internal procedures.
• Serve as a key technical role on bridge projects nationwide.
• Lead multi-disciplinary bridge design projects for public sector clients with quality, timeliness, and budget focus.
• Act as Primary Client Manager for various Philippine districts, maintaining client relationships.
• Lead proposal development to strengthen relationships in the transportation sector.
• Pursue key opportunities in Manila Bridge Sector and support alternative delivery pursuits.
• Represent the team in public presentations and stakeholder communications.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Bridge Director or leadership.
