Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Software Engineer for the PM Benchmarking team in Mexico City. You will design performance benchmarks, build internal tooling, and create repeatable testing workflows across cloud and database platforms.

This role emphasizes hands-on coding, performance analysis, and clear communication of results. The position involves working on end-to-end benchmark initiatives, collaborating with Engineering, Product, Sales, and other stakeholders, and maturing

Qualifications

5+ years building, debugging, and improving distributed and/or highly concurrent software systems.
Strong fundamentals including writing maintainable code and profiling performance.
Hands‑on with benchmarking workflows and performance tuning.
Experience with Python and related tooling in production environments.
Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider and database platforms.

Responsibilities

Design performance and benchmarking workloads reflecting realistic scenarios.
Build and improve internal tooling, test harnesses, automation, and reusable components.
Write and maintain Python code while adapting to adjacent tools.
Run benchmarks across cloud environments and databases with focus on fairness and repeatability.
Analyze latency, throughput, scalability, and infrastructure signals.
Translate questions into scoped technical plans with milestones.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Sales to keep tests relevant.
Produce technical docs, reports, and summaries linking findings to decisions.
Contribute to team standards and mentor peers in a collaborative culture.
