Job summary

Nexaminds is seeking a Senior QA Engineer (Automation and Performance) to lead test automation design and performance testing for scalable software products. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure high-quality releases.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years designing QA frameworks and strong skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, with experience in WebDriverIO, Playwright, and CI/CD integrations. Remote Mexico work option is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing frameworks and quality tooling or services.
• Experience building test automation frameworks and performance testing strategies.
• Proficient with WebDriverIO, Playwright, Protractor and related tools.
• Hands-on with performance testing tools like K6, JMeter or Gatling.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript and JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
• Write and run automated scripts using SpeedScale, WebdriverIO, K6, or Gatling.
• Develop and execute performance testing strategies with JMeter, Gatling, or SpeedScale.
• Analyze performance results and collaborate with dev teams to fix bottlenecks.
• Lead testing efforts, plan sprints, and mentor junior QA engineers.

Nexaminds is actively seeking a Senior QA Engineer specializing in Automation and Performance Testing to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will lead efforts to design, implement, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and performance testing strategies. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and performant software products.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• 5+ years of industry experience, with a focus on designing frameworks and quality-related tooling or services.
• Extensive experience developing test automation frameworks and performance testing strategies.
• Proficiency with automation tools like WebDriverIO, Playwright, Protractor.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like K6, JMeter or Gatling.
• Strong programming skills in languages like, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automation with tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and QA processes.
• Proven ability to debug complex issues and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to have:

• Experience scaling large web applications and maintaining high availability services
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of E-Commerce and subscription systems
• Experience with AWS is desirable
• Knowledge or experience of E-Commerce systems, Product Information Management (PIM) solutions
• Working experience with ElasticSearch
• Familiar with third-party backend API integrations
• ISTQB or similar QA certifications.
• Experience with Netlify environments

Job duties:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
• Writing and executing automated test scripts using tools like SpeedScale, WebdriverIO, K6 or Gatling
• Developing and executing performance testing strategies using tools like JMeter, SpeedScale or Gatling.
• Analyzing performance test results and collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Leading test efforts by assigning tasks, running status meetings, and participating in sprint planning.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align testing strategies with business goals and ensure high-quality releases.
• Driving improvements in test coverage across unit, functional, and load tests.
• Identifying, tracking, and resolving software defects using tools like Jira or AWS DevOps.
• Mentoring junior QA engineers in best practices for automation and performance testing.
• Staying updated on industry trends and advocating for process improvements to enhance the software development lifecycle.
