Monroe Consulting Group is assisting a #1 global leader in digital shopper marketing to hire a Senior Backend Engineer for a hybrid role in Makati. The position focuses on building secure, scalable Django REST APIs and data services powering our SaaS platform, with a night shift schedule.

The ideal candidate has strong Python/SQL background, Azure cloud experience, and proven ability to integrate HubSpot, Outlook/SMTP, and OpenAI. Join a growing engineering team and help shape product delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
• At least 5 years of production backend experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience designing and operating RESTful APIs and async workers (Celery/Redis).
• Hands-on Azure expertise (App Service, App Gateway, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Monitor).
• Experience integrating third-party platforms (HubSpot APIs, webhooks; SMTP/Outlook; OpenAI).

Responsibilities

• Own the backend development of the next-gen B2B SaaS product with Django REST APIs.
• Implement secure authentication/authorization (Azure AD SSO, optional Okta).
• Build and operate resilient async pipelines (Celery/Redis) for file processing.
• Integrate external systems: HubSpot, Outlook/SMTP, and OpenAI.
• Design and maintain schemas in Azure SQL and manage artifacts in Blob Storage.
