Job summary

Visa Hunt is seeking a mid- to senior-level Backend Software Engineer to design, build and improve services powering marketplace and eCommerce integrations. You will own features end-to-end—developing REST APIs and microservices, improving performance and reliability—while working closely with the support/integration team on production issues and API changes.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java, Node.js, or Python.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, OAuth/JWT, and webhooks.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB and SQL.
• Familiar with Linux, Git, Docker; AWS preferred.
• Experience with eCommerce platforms and marketplace APIs.
• Excellent English and collaboration across time zones.
• Able to work independently in a small, high-output team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend features and microservices.
• Build and evolve REST APIs, improve performance and observability.
• Integrate with marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, Shopify, etc.
• Implement upgrades, OAuth/JWT auth, webhooks, and sync logic.
• Own unit and integration testing; participate in code reviews.
• Assist production support with investigations across time zones.
• Collaborate on architecture and coordinate with offshore teams.
• Contribute to release activities and monitoring.
