Job summary

Lewis Personnel Management is seeking a Mid to Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize backend services powering marketplace integrations for a high-volume eCommerce ecosystem.

You will develop scalable REST APIs and microservices, integrate with major platforms like Amazon, Shopify, and Mirakl, and ensure reliability through robust testing and monitoring. Remote work from the Philippines is supported with flexible production coverage.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices in production.
• Proficiency with Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, or Python and databases (SQL/NoSQL)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices powering marketplace integrations.
• Build REST APIs with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Develop integrations with leading ecommerce and marketplace platforms (Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Mirakl, Walmart, etc.).
• Implement authentication mechanisms including OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
• Develop webhook processing, synchronization workflows, and resilient retry mechanisms for orders, inventory, products, pricing, and shipments.
• Write clean, tested code with unit and integration tests.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support production teams as needed.
• Participate in release validation, monitoring, and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
