Job summary

itm8 danmark seeks an experienced Azure-focused solutions architect to design robust cloud-based infrastructures and lead migration of on-prem workloads to Azure.

The role emphasizes IaC, DevOps practices, and cost-security optimizations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure deployments.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years in IT infrastructure or systems engineering with 3-5 years in Azure cloud engineering.
• Deep knowledge of Azure compute, networking, storage, identity and security.
• Hands-on with Terraform, ARM templates, PowerShell, Python and Azure CLI.
• Strong IaC, DevOps and automation skills.
• Microsoft AZ-305 or AZ-104 preferred.
• Excellent problem solving, communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture & Deployment: design and implement Azure-based solutions (VMs, networking, storage, identity, security).
• Cloud Migration: lead migration of on-prem workloads to Azure with minimal downtime.
• Automation & IaC: develop/maintain scripts using Terraform, ARM templates, Azure CLI and PowerShell.
• Performance & Cost Optimization: monitor/resource utilization and apply cost-saving strategies.
• Security & Compliance: implement governance, RBAC policies and use Azure Security Center.
• DevOps Integration: build/manage CI/CD pipelines and support Azure DevOps.
• Troubleshooting & Support: diagnose/resolve cloud issues; mentor junior engineers.
• Documentation & Collaboration: maintain docs and work with architects, developers, ops.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5-8 plus years in IT infrastructure or systems engineering, with at least 3-5 years focused on Azure cloud engineering.
• Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Indentity, Security). Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM templates, Powershell, Python and Azure CLI. Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and Automation.
• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) preferred.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with high availability architecture, cost management and security policy implementation.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of governance frameworks and compliance standards (ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).
