Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in the Philippines is seeking an experienced professional for the role of Assistant Vice President Ops Risk and Control. You will continuously assess operational risks, support risk owners, and ensure effective operation within the Risk Management Framework.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in risk management or audit, with supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of risk governance. Proficiency with risk systems such as Helios is valued.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in risk management or audits across multiple risk types.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Professional qualifications such as CIA, CRCM, ORM ICA are advantageous.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and governance activities.
• Knowledge of risk platforms, with Helios experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Continuously assess operational risks within the business context, market conditions, regulatory changes, processes, and technology.
• Support Risk & Control Owners and Operators in assessing and managing processes, activities, and systems to operate within the RMF.
• Report and escalate operational incidents per the RMF, including Helios/Harmony logging as applicable.
• Collect and validate risk data, analyze trends, and support monthly/quarterly/annual risk reporting.
• Lead impact assessments and discuss issues with control owners to strengthen controls.
• Ensure internal control standards are met and closure of audit/regulator actions.
• Identify risks early and support timely remediation to improve risk management.
