Job summary

QBE Group Shared Services Centre is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to help design and implement automation solutions using RPA tools such as UiPath and PEGA, along with .NET and Python for custom components. The candidate will lead a small team, promote governance, and ensure adherence to delivery standards across engagements.

Responsibilities include translating business needs into technical designs, building robust automation, and driving ROI through scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Necessary Qualifications include: Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Preferred Qualifications include: Postgraduate degree in IT or software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Work closely with business stakeholders and other functions to understand business needs and translate them into technical designs.
• Help Build automation solutions using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies and other relevant programming languages.
• Assist in the Implementation and in maintaining process engineering and agile best practices across the delivery model.
• Identify and advocate for appropriate ways to implement end-user requirements to achieve business goals.
• Define reusable design patterns that are robust, flexible, and extensible.
• Engage in solution discussions together with the manager and/or peers and produce high-fidelity prototypes for feedback from senior stakeholders.
• Identify and size automation opportunities to ensure a positive ROI.
• Help drive financial and customer benefits through automated technologies.
• Develop automated opportunities to meet business demand and coding standards.
• Manage a team of developers, shape the future of the Robotics, Automation & AI journey, and ensure deliverables meet business needs.
