Job summary

EY GDS is seeking a GDS Assurance Senior to act as the primary point of contact for assigned engagements from global client-serving teams. You will be responsible for timeliness and quality of deliverables and will oversee day-to-day operations of these engagements.

Qualified candidates have a BS Accountancy, CPA preferred, with at least 2 years in accounting and external audit, plus a minimum of 1 year in leadership. Familiarity with PFRS/IFRS, PSA, and Taxation is essential.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and audit standards.
• Experience in accounting and external audit.

Responsibilities

• Be the main point of contact from GDS for assigned tasks to global client teams.
• Ensure timeliness and quality of deliverables and manage day-to-day operations of engagements.
• Lead, coach and supervise project teams and foster collaboration with global colleagues.

The opportunity

As a GDS Assurance Senior, you would be the main point of contact from GDS for the tasks assigned by the global client serving assurance teams and be responsible for the timeliness and quality of deliverables along with managing day to day operations of those engagements

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Must be a graduate of BS Accountancy
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting & audit function (external audit is required)
• At least 1 year of leadership experience
• Familiarity with accounting principles and audit standards
• Strong knowledge of PFRS/IFRS, PSA and Taxation

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Knowledge of accounting and assurance standards or knowledge of IFRS / UK GAAP / US GAAP and International review standards is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation skills
• Project management, leadership, coaching, counselling and supervisory skills
• Ability to spread positive work culture, teaming and live EY values
• The ability to quickly form strong working relationship with colleagues and global teams
