Job summary

PHILMETAL PRODUCTS, Inc. seeks an experienced Assistant General Counsel to join the Internal Legal Team on a full-time basis, handling critical legal and operational matters.

The role focuses on labor relations advice, investigations, civil/corporate/tax matters, and estate planning, with strong regulatory compliance duties.

Based in Makati, the candidate will represent the company before NLRC and courts, draft pleadings, perform due diligence, and liaise with LGUs and HR.

Qualifications

• LLB/Juris Doctor degree from reputable universities.
• Member of the Philippine Bar.
• At least ten years of legal practice with emphasis on Civil, Corporate, Tax and Labor.
• Experience in estate planning, wills, trusts, probate administration.
• Experience in actual litigation.
• Established contacts with LGUs, NLRC, and other judicial branches.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willing to work in Makati office, full-time.

Responsibilities

• Advise functional units on labor relations and related matters.
• Coordinate with HR on employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and CBA negotiations.
• Participate in investigations relating to violations of the Code of Conduct.
• Represent the Company before the NLRC and in court, quasi-judicial agencies and other bodies; during inspections by authorities.
• Prepare pleadings and take responsibility for assigned cases.
• Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Conduct legal due diligence for property acquisitions.
• Handle animal welfare concerns with partner groups.
