Job summary

A global consultancy and engineering firm seeks a Senior Asset Specialist to lead technical advisory on complex projects in gas, coal, and renewables. The role emphasizes upgrades, modifications, and operational improvements across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities include guiding standards, developing engineering documents, and managing budgets and timelines for diverse projects in a fast-paced energy sector. Strong leadership and client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technical advisory, preferably O&M and engineering services.
• Renewables/geothermal/hydro experience is a plus.
• Experience in proposal development is advantageous.
• Mechanical engineering degree (post-graduate bonus).
• Certifications such as IAM, CMRP, CAMA, AEE Energy Manager, BEE Energy Manager and Auditor are advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with other tools is a plus.
• Industry knowledge in technical advisory around O&M and engineering services.
• Fuel switch/flexibility supports like co-firings and fuel blending.
• Knowledge of engineering design principles and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on department design guides, standards and codes.
• Develop and update engineering standards.
• Prepare complex engineering deliverables for large projects.
• Manage budgets, schedules and quality requirements.
• Lead production teams or coordinate multi-discipline activity.
• Coordinate with internal/external team members on moderately complex projects.
• Identify client interests and drivers and relay them to project teams.
• Mentor and support performance management and resource strategy.
